The police raided the flat of a real-estate dealer and seized Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 demonetised notes worth Rs 1.95 crore.

Sayed Sameer managed to escape during the raid at his flat in the Golden Palm apartment complex in Kothanur late on Friday night, while the police arrested two of his associates -   Jayakumar (32) from Marathahalli and Shashi (26) from Hosakote in Bengaluru rural district. The two men then joined hands with Sameer to collect the notes from friends and relatives, and stashed the abolished money in Sameer's
