"The centre can easily resolve the Mahadayi issue. What is difficult for the PM?" opined veteran journalist Patil Puttappa, here on Monday.
Speaking to reporters Puttappa said, that the Mahadayi river water sharing dispute can be put to rest if the Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes up his mind.
"Amit Shah has said that BJP will resolve the dispute if BJP comes to power in the state. What if BJP does not win the polls? Will the centre not intervene and resolve the crisis?" the noted journalist queried.
Puttappa expressed dissatisfaction for AICC president Rahul Gandhi not addressing the Mahadayi issue during his recent visit to Mumbai-Karnataka region.
"But greater responsibility lies with the central government and the Goa state government which are ruled by BJP," he added.
