Meet at MITE

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of 'Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering' (MITE) in Moodbidri will be organising its first ever international conference on 'Advances in manufacturing, materials and energy engineering' (ICon MMEE 2018) on March 2 and 3 at MITE campus in Moodbidri.

Lecture on evolution of life

»The Department of Marine Geology at Mangalore University, in association of British Scholars Mangaluru chapter, will be organising a lecture on 'The co-evolution of life and earth-snowball earth, the Cambrian explosion and the origin of animals' by Oxford University Museum (Natural History, UK) Director Prof Paul Smith at MBA Seminar Hall in Mangalagangothri on March 2 at 3.30 pm. A press release stated, Prof Paul Smith was earlier Head of the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham. He worked at Natural History and Geological Museums at Cambridge and Copenhagen prior to his current position.
