Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has convened a meeting of state MPs, cutting across party lines, in New Delhi on Friday to discuss the verdict of the Supreme Court on sharing of Cauvery river waters.
The meeting will discuss the state government's next step of action including whether to file a review petition in the Supreme Court, seeking a modification in the verdict. It will also discuss the insistence on the part of neighbouring Tamil Nadu to constitute the Cauvery Management Board.
The Supreme Court last month reduced Tamil Nadu's allocation of Cauvery water from Karnataka from 192 tmcft to 177.25 tmcft.
