Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided six government officials for possessing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
The officials raided are - Gopalakrishna, joint director, Davangere-Harihara Development Authority; Thippeswamy, assistant commissioner, Tumakuru sub-division; Vijaya Kumar M Shetty, assistant executive Engineer, Karanja Canal Project, Humnabad, Bidar; Kiran Subbarao Bhat, assistant executive engineer, Belgaum City Corporation; Sripathi Doddalingannavar, vigilance officer, NEKRTC, Kalaburagi and Srikeerti Jain, revenue inspector, Kalasa hobli, Chikkamagaluru.
The simultaneous raids were conducted on 24 premises in Davangere, Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Dharwad and Chikkamagaluru districts. A senior police official said that the searches are still on. The details about the assets seized will be known in a day or two.
