Thane police have now named Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut in the sensational Call Data Record (CDR) case.
Kangana had shared Hrithik Roshan's mobile number with lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui, who was arrested last week in connection with the case.
Siddiqui, who is a celebrity lawyer and had represented Kangana and actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is in police custody now. He was held for allegedly spying on Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife.
"We are investigating the case. Kangana had shared her number of Hrithik to one of the accused (Rizwan Siddiqui) in 2016. The purpose of the same is being investigated," a senior Thane police official said.
The name of Ayesha Shroff, former wife of actor Jackie Shroff too had cropped up.
"Ayesha Shroff procured CDR of (actor and her business partner) Sahil Khan and shared it with Rizwan (Siddiqui). This was revealed in an analysis of Rizwan's mobile," officials said.
