Actor Sriimurali made his debut in Sandalwood with 'Chandra Chakori', a family entertainer which was based in a village setup. The actor was later seen as a college student in 'Kanti', for which he won the 'Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor'.

The action-packed film 'Ugramm', which was directed by Prashanth Neel, was a turning point for Sriimurali's career.

His next movie 'Rathavara' was directed by Chandrashekhar Bandiyappam and received rave reviews. His latest flick 'Mufti', which starred Shivarajkumar, showcased Sriimurali's acting prowess.

The actor will soon be seen in a family-entertainer by Bharjari Chethan, which will be made under KVN Productions.

Actor
Dr Rajkumar
"When I think of movies, the only person who I can think of is my uncle and the great actor, Dr Rajkumar. Whenever I would think of a hero, his name is the first one that would pop up in my mind. Every Sunday, I would wait to watch his movie on DD channel. Whatever the genre of the movie is, be it a mythological, historical, romantic or family-entertainer film, he always knew how to do justice to the script. He did magic on screen and there is no actor who can replicate that. I love him in movies like 'Goa Dalli CID 999', 'Mayura' and 'Babruvahana'."

Music
A R Rahman
"Music is very important to me. It is the only thing that puts me back on track. Of all the tracks that I listen to, ones by A R Rahman are my favourite. Classic numbers from movies like 'Roja', 'Jeans', 'Ra.One' and 'Taal', still continue to be my top choice. I am not sure if it is his voice or the feeling that his scores have that move me but he continues to be my favourite musician. Music helps to keep me focussed and calm."

Travel
Goa
"I like travelling but I am not someone who makes a lot of plans at any destination I go to. I am not the one who would stroll around the streets and be caught shopping or intensely involved in activities. Even if in Vegas, I like being in my room and at spaces where I can enjoy the ambience of the city I am at, while being comfortable. I especially love Goa for this as I am always relaxed there. I am not a party freak and I love watching the starlit sky and listening to the waves at Goa's beaches."

Food
Ragi mudde and chicken curry
"I am a foodie but my work doesn't allow me to indulge in a lot of food. I love different dishes in varied cuisines. My go-to food is always Ragi Mudde and Chicken Curry. It is my comfort food. A few of my other favourite foods are Chicken Biryani and Andhra-style chicken. I am also a fan of Nachos in Mexican, Thai Curry and Rice in Thai cuisine and Mixed Fried Rice in Chinese."

Inspiration
Sachin Tendulkar
"Struggles are often what define how a person turns out. The perfect example of this and my all-time inspiration is cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. All of us have admired him on the small screen but I became a die-hard fan of his after I watched 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams'. One can learn to face struggles as they come in the calmest way possible from him. Despite being a really popular sportsperson, his humility is what has taken him places and capture many hearts."

Philosophy
'Stay happy always'
My motto in life is to stay happy, good and positive all the time. Whatever be the situation, do not be a fake. There is no need to impress anyone around, one only needs to be true to themselves. I strongly believe that one's work will speak for itself."
