Police have picked a person on charges of posting a derogatory article against MLA M P Appachu Ranjan.
The arrested has been identified as Abdul Hameed.
The MLA had filed a complaint that attempts were being made to tarnish his image by writing a false article regarding his property. However, during investigation, Hameed told the police that he only shared the post.
Police are investigating as to who has posted the original article.
