"How can I confirm ticket for others, when my own ticket is not confirmed," said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President G Parameshwar.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said the party high command will decide on the candidates and so far no aspirants' ticket has been finalised.

He said the Congress high command is yet to take a decision on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah contesting from the Chamundeshwari seat. Siddaramaiah currently represents the Varuna constituency.

Contradicting Siddaramaiah, who recently said that he would continue as the chief minister if Congress come backs to power, the state Congress chief said that the decision of selecting a chief minister will be taken only after results are announced.

He also clarified that the party has not assured the ticket for Bidar South MLA and businessman Ashok Kheny, who recently joined the Congress.

Parameshwar said that there is no doubt that the Congress will return to power. Any number of visits by BJP president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not change the fortunes of BJP's chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa, he said.

Tactics of the JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and the party's state chief H D Kumaraswamy will not workout, he added.
