Transfer guidelines issued

Last updated: 13 May, 2010
Bangalore, May 13, DHNS:

The transfer window for State government employees this year will be between May 18 and June 15.

The State government on Thursday issued the transfer guidelines for its employees for the year 2010-11. The guidelines will, however, not be applicable for police personnel and teachers. Transfers beyond June 15 will have to be made only with the prior permission of the chief minister.

The guidelines, based on the State transfer policy first announced in 2001, states that the total transfer in 2010-11 cannot exceed three per cent of the total work force in all departments.

Transfer can be affected under the following circumstances: filling up of vacancies,  mutual transfers, transfers sought by employees suffering from diseases, transfers on public complaints, promotion-based transfers, transfers of employees on demand prior to two years of retirement and also transfers based on administrative requirements.
