Concessional bus pass for students from June 4

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will commence issue of student concessional bus pass for the year 2010-11.

Passes for primary, secondary and high school students will be issued from June 4, for first and second year PUC students passes will be issued from June 10. A release issued by the State-run Corporation on Monday, stated that passes will be issued at 31 counters in all bus stations spread across the City. These counters will function from 8 am to 5 pm on all working days, but remain closed on Sundays and general holidays.

Application forms

Application forms for issue of student concessional pass are issued free at bus stations from June 1. Photocopies of application forms, downloaded copies from Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation website, www.bmtcinfo.com as well as newspaper cuttings are also valid.

The forms are to be submitted along with original fee receipt for the current year (exempted in case of government schools), ID card issued by colleges/school, two passport size recent photos of applicant and prescribed pass fee.
