Plea to identify child labourers

Speaking at the World Anti Child Labour Day, he said there is a need to identify the child labourers and rehabilitate them by providing education. Poverty forces parents to make their children work. Government has come forward to abolish child labour.

District and Sessions Judge Rathnakala said public should co-operate with the authorities in checking child labour.  SP Vikas Kumar said public should inform police if they find child labourers anywhere in the district.

“Every child has the right to get educated. The education helps in building a healthy society.”  Labour Assistant Commissioner Srivalli, Women and Child Welfare department Deputy Director Gatrude Veigas and others were present. A rally was held to create an awareness on child labour.  A skit was staged on ill affects of child labour on the occasion.
