Congress member R V Venkatesh and JD(S) member M Srinivas were the others who took oath of office.
Venkatesh took oath in the name of AICC President Sonia Gandhi, while others took oath in the name of god.
Chairman Puttanna administered the oath. Congress leader Oscar Fernandes and many other MLCs were present on the occasion. Congress members Mathikatti and Venkatesh took blessings of Fernandes by touching his feet.
