Comed-K counselling from July 12
The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (Comed-K) has announced its revised schedule for the Comed-K UGET-2010 counselling.
The counselling for medical and dental courses will be held on July 12 and 13, and for the engineering seats, from July 14 to 25.
Comed-K Convenor S Kumar said, “We are giving a week’s time for the CET counselling for the engineering and architecture seats to begin before commencing our counselling sessions to avoid any overlapping of ranks to the seats under the Comed-K.”
He said the dates have been confirmed after much deliberation over providing optimal opportunities for the students vying for seats under the CET and Comed-K. The Consortium is also likely to speed up the process, by completing the counselling for engineering seats in 11 days, medical and dental seats in two days as against the usual 15-day and three-day process respectively.
However, the Comed-K has refrained from declaring the final round of counselling for the engineering seats pending the KEA schedule for the casual vacancy rounds to the engineering and architecture seats. “We will look at the KEA schedule for the casual vacancy round for engineering and architecture seats; after a three-day gap we will begin our final round of counselling,” said Kumar.
The Comed-K will upload the sessionwise details and rank allotted for each session on their website www.comedk.org.
