The nine-year old has strange incidents happening around her, and one thing leads to another.

While the most definitive horror film with a child protagonist continues to be Omen, this new film too has its chilling moments, with the director unravelling the back plot only towards the finale. The confident performance by Isabelle Fuhrman in the title character adds lustre to the film.

But the film’s drawbacks come from the fact that after a while the incidents that happen around the child, despite their shock value, do not seem to give the story another twist.

They sort of become repetitive after a point, making the whole effort look longer than required, but the director manages to retrieve much of the film with the final, shocking revelation. The DVD comes with an added bonus of an alternate ending.
