Police get Pajero jeeps

The Department acted positively to City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari’s requests and sanctioned the jeeps.

“Each vehicle costs around Rs 50 lakh. The Bangalore City police is the only unit in the State to possess them,” Bidari said. The police have decided to use them during VIPs/VVIPs visit.

“We will attach two vehicles to VVIP security division. We have decided to hand over the remaining  jeeps to the Chief Minister. The police have volunteered to hand over the vehicle. However, police will keep it if the Chief Minister refuses it,” Bidari added.
