Hyderabad: Making a strong pitch that until he is alive he will not allow reservations based on religion and faith, terming them unconstitutional and snatches the rights of dalits, adivasis and OBCs, PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday said Nehru and Gandhi family never cared for Indian constitution and insulted it in different ways over the years.

Addressing a election rally in Telangana's Zaheerabad, Modi on Tuesday also said that Congress if it forms the government by any chance it will impose inheritance tax. "Congress has found a new way to loot you - inheritance tax. Under their rule, 55 per cent of your lifetime earnings won't go to your children, but to their vote bank supporters. Beware of their dangerous intentions. BRS looted Telangana, now Congress is following suit. They're suppressing files of the Kaleshwaram scam they once promised to investigate,” said Modi.

He also said that Congress does not care about the Constitution in the least. They only want to enjoy the power without bearing the responsibilities that come with it, he said.

“They obstruct parliamentary proceedings and question the Election Commission and EVMs. Let these Congressis know that Modi will protect the Constitution until his last breath. I will not let them give reservation based on a person’s faith. The Congress party has been against our Constitution since its inception. India's first Prime Minister modified Baba Saheb Ambedkar's Constitution by removing the symbols of our scriptures from it. Indira Gandhi modified it by imposing emergency and threatening the democracy of the country. Rajiv Gandhi attempted to bring a law to regulate the media. Rahul Gandhi publicly tore the decision of Manmohan Singh's Cabinet. How can we expect Congress to protect and respect the Indian Constitution?,” Modi questioned.

He also said that a stable, decisive, and devoted government creates history and one vote led to the construction of the grand temple in Ayodhya. For us, every vote signifies a dream that we must realize. Your dreams are our aspirations, he added.

He also said that while the Telugu film industry delights with blockbusters like 'RRR,' the Telangana Congress administers its own version of 'RR' tax burdens on the people. Industrialists in Telangana are compelled to pay a clandestine percentage as RR Tax to the state government. It's alleged that a portion of these funds finds its way to Delhi as black money, he added.

Modi also said that during Congress' regime, 'Nari Shakti' suffered in every phase of their lives, from schooling to employment. Congress prioritises vote bank over safety of women. For BJP, respect and dignity of women is paramount, he added.

He also highlighted how the state government in Telangana had not cooperated with the Centre for the development of the state.

“The central government decided to build Janjatiya Vishwavidhyalayas in Telangana, but the state government is not allotting land to us. Similarly, they are hindering railway projects in Telangana. Should a party willing to sacrifice a state's development for the sake of politics be given even a single vote?,” Modi asked.

He further said that in the past 10 years, people have witnessed the progress that a stable government under the NDA brought to the country. “There was a time when the world was advancing, yet India was held back due to policy paralysis. The NDA has successfully pulled the country out of that situation. However, Congress seeks to return us to those bad old times,” he said.
