NIA takes three into custody in Praveen Nettaru murder case

Mangaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team took three people into custody, in connection with the murder of BJP leader Praveen Nettaru of Dakshina Kannada district, from Anemahal, in Sakleshpur taluk, Hassan district, on Friday.

Praveen Nettaru was the Karnataka BJP Yuva Morcha member and was hacked to death by two motorbike borne attackers in Bellare village in Sullia taluk, Dakshina Kannada district, on July 26, 2022. 

Mohammed Mustafa alias Mustafa Paicharu of Sullia, Iliyaz of Somwarpet and Siraj have been taken into custody.

It is said that Mohammed Mustafa and Iliyaz had joined to work with Siraj of Anemahal. Siraj has also been taken into custody for giving shelter to the accused.

Mustafa Paicharu is said to the fourth accused in Praveen Nettaru case.
