<p>New Delhi: After helping <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bjp">BJP</a> in Haryana and Maharashtra, the RSS is now working in <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/new-delhi">Delhi</a> for the upcoming assembly elections. Sources in the right-wing outfit said a senior leader is posted in Delhi to look at poll preparations and that smaller teams have fanned out across the Capital. </p><p>To this end, leaders of the BJP and the RSS have a key meeting scheduled for Monday. </p><p>Sources in the right-wing outfit said that Joint General Secretary of RSS Arun Kumar has been posted in Delhi to handle the responsibility of coordination between the party and the RSS. Several meetings with smaller groups of the BJP’s Delhi state unit have been held already. </p><p>In addition to that, over 65 teams have started dedicatedly working to turn the tide against the Aam Aadmi Party. The teams are currently beginning with door-to-door campaigns and collecting feedback. Sources said that in comparison to the last three terms, this is the first time that Kejriwal’s image has taken a beating due to his jail term and the BJP’s “Sheeshmahal” charge. </p><p>While some of the leaders prefer getting a seasoned face to take on Kejriwal as well as Delhi CM Atishi, some leaders feel that a fresh and young face can help break the BJP’s dry spell in the Delhi assembly. </p><p>The BJP, sensing an opportunity this time, has already formed over a dozen committees to coordinate work in specific domains like women voters, youth, OBC etc. Key among them is a 12-member election manifesto committee headed by South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, which has the party’s prominent faces as members, including Harsh Vardhan, Meenakshi Lekhi, Vijay Goel, and Arvinder Singh Lovely, among others. </p><p>On Saturday, the party also inaugurated an office dedicated to the upcoming polls at the Pant Marg headquarters of the party’s state unit.</p>
