JOIN USAs many as 16 people, including a car driver, suffered injuries when a private bus overturned at Adyar on the outskirts of Mangaluru on Wednesday.
The bus was plying from Puttur to Mangaluru when the driver lost control and hit a divider. Later it hit the car. Of the injured 13 have been admitted to Neuro hospital, two in Indiana Hospital and one to Wenlock Hospital, said DCP Uma Prashanth.
The movement of vehicles on the road was disrupted for sometime after the mishap. A case has been registered.
4 arrested for gambling
The Bantwal rural police arrested four people engaged in gambling at Kanchinadka Padavu on Wednesday.
The arrested are Nithin (30), Cheriya Monu (51), Aboobakkar (46) and Abdul Rehman (50).
The police seized Rs 4,600 cash, a bike, four mobilephones from the arrested.
