He was brought in to Mumbai today and placed under arrest,” a top crime branch official said.<br /><br />Shetty, who separated from the Chhota Rajan gang in 2004 and formed his own outfit, was actively involved in extortion, smuggling, kidnapping and contract-killing, the official said. <br /><br />He was produced before a local court, which remanded him in police custody till August 17.</p>
