Minor incidents of violence and people boycotting polls were reported from Ramanagara and Bangalore Rural districts on Thursday.

In Mayaganahalli of Ramanagara taluk, coming under the Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha constituency, three workers of Aam Aadmi party (AAP) were thrashed allegedly by the supporters of Congress party.

The incident took place when the AAP workers—Mottegowda, Chandan and Rathod, were on their way to Rehmanianagar after they received information that supporters of Congress candidate D K Suresh were distributing money to voters.

“When the trio tried to take pictures of cash being distributed, they were assaulted by the Congress supporters,” AAP Bangalore Rural candidate Ravikrishna Reddy alleged. A case has been registered.

At Sanjeevaiahdoddi in Kanakapura taluk, more than 300 residents boycotted the polls protesting poor civic amenities. At Harohalli in Kanakapura, the residents boycotted the polls against the government’s decision to set up an abattoir in the village.
