The searing heat in the capital took its toll on an IAF personnel who collapsed during the ceremonial welcome accorded to visiting Seychelles President Danny Faure.

The IAF man fainted, perhaps due to a heat stroke, as Delhi witnessed temperatures five degrees above normal when Faure was being presented the ceremonial guard of honour on the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

After the ceremony ended and the dignitaries had left, Prime Minister Narendra Modi walked up to the IAF personnel and inquired about his health.

Modi told him to take care of his health and later left for his official residence.
