Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises and senior Shiv Sena leader Anant Geete was injured in an accident near Pali in Raigad district on Friday afternoon.
Geete, an MP from Raigad district, suffered minor injuries on his head. He is out of danger.
Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray spoke to him and enquired about his health.
The incident occurred when Geete's motorcade was proceeding from Khopoli to Pali. The pilot car had to brake immediately. As it braked, Geete's car rammed into the pilot car, and the pilot vehicle behind the Geete's car dashed into it, resulting in a sort of pile-up.
Geete later left for his scheduled engagements.
