AP to finalise Assembly, HC structures today

The Andhra Pradesh government which zeroed in on two structures for the permanent Assembly building in Amaravati on Wednesday will give its verdict on Thursday.

The government will keep the two designs of the Assembly building on the APCRDA website to elicit public opinion before taking the long-pending decision.

Speaking to the press, Andhra Pradesh Municipal Minister Narayana said at a meeting Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu reviewed two designs of the Assembly building and decided to put it out for public opinion before taking a final call on Thursday.

"After the design for the Assembly and the high court are decided the chief minister will make a formal announcement and within a week we will call for tenders," Narayana said, adding that the permanent structures will be completed by the end of March 2019 with the help of latest building technology.

The government, however, still has to take the opinion of the chief justice of the high court and speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for for necessary changes inside the structures
