Infosys Foundation to spend Rs 75 lakh to renovate Nandi Hills

"Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm ofInfosys, announced that it has undertaken various renovation initiatives at Nandi Hills, a major tourism spot in Karnataka. To this end, the Foundation has invested INR 75 lakhs for the construction of new pathways and stone steps.

Infosys Foundation’s restoration project involved the reconstruction of the pathways and steps that lead to the birth place of the Arkavati river, which originates in the lap of Nandi Hills. Also, some of the damaged walls near Tipu’s Drop were renovated and beautified," the press release said.

The cases pertained to denotification of land acquired by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA)

A 24-year-old research scholar was killed while three others sustained injuries, two of them grievously at the Tata Institute at the Indian Institute of Science in Sadashivanagar on Wednesday afternoon.
