Soon, Namma Metro from 7 am onwards on Sundays

To end the woes of early travellers in the city on Sundays, Namma Metro is now considering a change on their timings. Soon, the operations will begin at 7.00 am, and after a few months, at 6.00 am, BMRCL MD Ajay Seth told Times of India.

Currently, the metro service starts at 8.00 am on Sundays.

Rejuvenated Hebbagodi lake in Limca Book of Records

Hebbagodi lake, once covered with sludge, weedsand plastic waste, has made it to the Limca Book of Records for having India's largest floating island, reports Times of India.

Biocon Foundation hasbio-rejuvenated the 35-acre lake in southern Bengaluru, leading to an improvement in the water quality and the return of flora and fauna. The project was launched following approvals from the Karnataka Lake Conservation and Development Authority (KLCDA) and other government bodies.

BMTC's shuttle services in KIA may stop soon

The BMTC may stop its shuttle services within the Kempegowda International Airport (to ferry passengers from the boarding gates to the aircraft) as IndiGo, the only airliner which uses the service has now decided to stop it citing stringent security criteria to obtain entry permits for the drivers, reports the New Indian Express.
