Costa Rica defender Roy Miller will miss the FIFA World Cup quarterfinal against the Netherlands to be held at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador Saturday due to injury.

The Costa Rican football association said that Miller is suffering from a hamstring strain in his left leg which would keep him from participating in the last eight clash, reports EFE.

The medical team said that the injury occurred last Friday at the end of training as he was practicing kicks from the penalty spot. Miller was supposed to play instead of Oscar Duarte, who would also miss the game for being red carded in the Round of 16 game against Greece, where the 'Ticos' won on penalties.
