FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week: Best looks of Day 1

From happy shimmer and sequins to bold, striking looks to a hint of darkness, Day 1 of FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week showcased some interesting collections by a slew of designers. While designers like Alpana Neeraj, Sonal Verma and Varun Bahl used bright colours, sequins and flirty embellishments to create a happy vibe, Samant Chauhan stood out with this monochromatic take on melancholia. Shantanu Nikhil presented a strong design-first line, while JJ Valaya delved into sustainability with his eco-conscious TENCEL line.  Here are some of the best looks from Day 1.
