A 35-year-old homemaker died after being throttled in Bharathinagar, Chikkajala, North Bengaluru, on Thursday.
Chandrakala was found murdered around 4.30 pm when her husband Srinivas, a barber, returned home. Srinivas called neighbours who helped him take his wife to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. The Chikkajala police rushed to the spot after being informed and conducted inquiries.
Police said there was no forced entry and suspect Ramesh, a family friend. They added that the assailant squeezed Chandrakala’s throat and snatched her gold chain, leaving a scar on the neck.
