Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 3 wickets in an edge of the seat thriller in the ICC World Cup 2019. Afghanistan, batting first, scored 227 runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi took 4 wickets for 47 runs. In reply, Pakistan hobble and fumbled to finally chase down the total in the fourth ball of the 50th over. Imad Wasim scored an excellent unbeaten 49 to guide his team home. It was a must win match for Pakistan and the victory kept their hopes of qualifying for the top four alive.
