An Indian woman identified as Judith D'Souza was abducted last night from the Taimani area of Kabul, Afghanistan.

D'Souza, who hails from Kolkata was working for Aga Khan Foundation, Afghanistan.

Afghan authorities are trying to secure her release, official sources said today.

The Indian embassy is in touch with Afghan authorities to ensure her safe release, the sources said. The government is in contact with the woman's family in Kolkata, they said.
