A nine-year-old boy, who was missing since Saturday, was found dead at Dwarka in south-west Delhi on Tuesday evening.

His parents had registered a complaint of kidnapping with Bindapur police station.
According to police, Khalid, a resident of Punarwas colony in Bindapur, was found dead in Dwarka sector-13. Several injury marks have been found on his body.

“We have registered a case of murder and the body has been sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for post-mortem,” a senior police official said.

Khalid was missing since Saturday evening after he left his house for playing in the area.
His father Noor Alam, a contractor, had filed a missing person’s complaint with Bindapur police station.

A day after, police registered a case of kidnapping, but they failed to trace the boy.
Police found a stone near his body which seemed to have been used to kill the boy.

“Several injury marks were also there on his face and body which seem to have been caused with a blunt object,” said Anil Kumar Ojha, additional commissioner of police (south-west).

No ransom call was made, but police have initiated a probe from all possible angles. Many people living in the area are being questioned, said the official.
