In a bid to spur the startup ecosystem in the country, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) has mooted development of a startup triangle linking Bengaluru, Israel and Silicon Valley in the US.

The proposed triangle will help the startups in Bengaluru to interface with global technology hubs in Israel and Silicon Valley and access latest technology, funds and government assistance, R Chandrashekhar, President, Nasscom told DH.

"We want the startup ecosystem in Bengaluru to gain access to deep tech innovation happening in Silicon Valley and Israel, which are well known for disruptive innovation," he said.

Chandrashekhar said Bengaluru has emerged as a hub in India for artificial intelligence, robotics, analytics, cyber security, chip design and neural network research.

"We have proposed this idea with the central government and discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Israel in July this year."
