Waking up from my slumber so deep
I watch the sky as the sun slowly rises
People awaken from their peaceful sleep
Here comes another day full of surprises
The birds melodiously chirp, the crickets dance
The gentle breeze causes the trees to sway
All those who hear these sounds are in a trance
This orchestra of nature plays everyday
Slowly dewdrops start falling off the leaves
Indicating this time has come to an end
A school child and a business man grieves
A melancholic atmosphere begins to descend
In our hearts we have this time embedded
Nostalgia has faded in all minds but mine
My thoughts are focused on what lays ahead
For tomorrow starts again with the morning time
