Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said he would quit politics if the allegations levelled against him of favouring his relatives in allotment of mines are proved.

“The opposition BJP is levelling false and baseless allegations which I have already rejected and am rejecting even today,” he said. “I do not believe in nepotism. There is no irregularity in the allotment of mines,” he added.

A few days ago, media reports alleged that his close relatives were allotted mines in Jodhpur. He said in the state Assembly recently that the decision was taken by the cabinet and no one was favoured in the allotment of mines.
