Padmaavat will be shown at a cinema hall in Jodhpur on Monday as a special screening for high court judge Sandeep Mehta and some judicial staff members.
The screening is being held following a petition by the film's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to quash an FIR filed against him and actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh at the Deedwana police station in March 2017.
Adequate security arrangements have been made for a peaceful screening of the film.
After Bhansali agreed to screen the film for the court, Justice Mehta said, "This court is of the firm opinion that the screening of the movie is essential for securing the ends of justice."
The film was originally decided to be screened at the Rajasthan State Judicial Academy. However, due to the inadequate resolution at that theatre, the film will now be screened at the INOX Ansal Royal Plaza, on Monday evening.
The court had summoned the police commissioner of the area on Saturday regarding the security arrangements to be made for the screening.
The FIR was lodged against Bhansali, Deepika and Singh in Nagaur in December. Bhansali's lawyer had applied for a cancellation of the FIR at the Jodhpur High Court.
The film was released in the country on January 25 except in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Goa.
