Actor and Union Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi’s brother Pawan Kalyan took a political plunge and launched a new political outfit here on Friday.

Kalyan made a scathing attack on the Congress for playing divisive politics for the sake of votes and warned the grand old party that he will not allow it to win a single seat in Seemandhra. “Congress hatao-desh bachao,” was his battle cry.

However, Pawan Kalyan, who spoke for over two hours, did not specify whether he will be contesting in the ensuing general elections saying that building the party will be his first priority.

Fondly called by his fans as “Power Star”, the 42-year-old actor unveiled his party’s policies, saying that he would need two years to build his party.
