A whopping amount of Rs 164.25 crore will be used to develop the forests of Poonch city in Jammu and Kashmir as eco-tourism destination, a state minister said on Monday.
“The eco-tourism project for the hill top overlooking the Poonch Township with dense forest cover envisages construction of eco-friendly tourist huts, walking path and viewpoints,” forests and environment minister, Mian Altaf Ahmed said.
The department has completed an eco-tourism project at Dara Ki Gali, he said. Officials have been asked to make a zreport within three months.
