Village Accountant Shivakumar, Revenue Inspector Channappa and Taluk Office Manager Geeta have been suspended for illegally sanctioning land at Chittuvalli in Vastare hobli of Chikkamagaluru taluk.
Deputy Commissioner M K Srirangaiah said that the land was sanctioned to four people under form 50 and 53.
Action has also been recommended against Shirastedar Giddegowda and Tahsildar Shivanna as they have been found guilty in this connection.
Public had submitted a memorandum to the district administration requesting to conduct a probe into the illegal sanctioning of land in Vastare hobli.
During the investigation conducted by the Assistant Commissioner, it was found that Rafiq Ahmed, Sayida Apsar, Muhammed Ibrahim and Hamida Banu had furnished false information to get the land sanctioned. Moreover, they had tampered with the names mentioned in the applications. The involvement of the officials and the staff of taluk office was found.
