Sanitary pad vending machine installed at Hyderabad airport

A pad vending machine at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

To ensure the comfort of women passengers and promote hygienic practices, GMR Hyderabad International Airport has installed vending machines to dispense sanitary napkins.

These vending machines have been installed in 26 women's washrooms at various levels   in the domestic and international areas of the terminal building.

It is a coin operated machine and each napkin costs Rs 5.

According to a press release, an additional facility of incinerator machines have also been installed to hygienically dispose of the used napkins.
