AICC chairperson Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Mangaluru on Friday for the second phase of campaigning in the district.

He earlier visited Dakshina Kannada district and Udupi on March 20 and 21 for the pre-poll campaigning.

Rahul Gandhi, who is presently campaigning in Uttara Kannada district, will stay in Murudeshwar on Thursday night and arrive at Mangaluru on Friday morning and release the party manifesto at T M A Pai Auditorium at 9.45 am. Later, he will take part in a public programme at B C Road and then proceed towards Dharmasthala to seek darshan of Lord Manjunatha. He will also have an interaction with Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade and later proceed to Gonikoppal and Periyapatna, where public programmes have been scheduled. He will then return to Delhi via Mysuru.

Most of the Congress leaders including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Rajya Sabha member B K Hariprasad were with Rahul Gandhi in Uttara Kannada on Thursday and all of them are expected to accompany the AICC chief in Mangaluru too.
