Former legislator G H Srinivas, who is contesting as an independent candidate, campaigned by raising Rupee 1 from voters to pay as the deposit amount while filing the nomination.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “A man who is not loyal to the party has been given the ticket to contest from Tarikere. He (S M Nagaraju) has changed the party eight times.”
‘Injustice to me’
Further, Srinivas said, “Great injustice has meted out towards me. I have worked for the party honestly. My work and services rendered in the constituency is important than the party symbol. I am confident of winning the election.”
‘Will support Cong’
“After winning the election I will support the Congress,” Srinivas said.
