Two men have been arrested for stabbing a 25-year-old man to death in south east Delhi’s Okhla area on Thursday.

Naseem Raja and Aman, who are from Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district, were held after Babloo was found with stab wounds inside a cargo container in Okhla Phase I.
“It has come to light that Babloo’s elder brother had eloped with Naseem’s sister.

Naseem was trying to get details from Babloo, but killed him in a fit of rage after finding out that he was clueless,” said Ajay Chaudhry, additional commissioner of police (south east).

Babloo had been living at Harkesh Nagar in Okhla Industrial Area Phase II on rent along with his younger brother Harun. Both worked at embroidery sheds at different factories in the area.

During the probe, it was learnt that Babloo had taken leave on Wednesday to shop for his wife and children back in Hardoi. “When Babloo did not return, Harun searched for him and informed police when he was unable to locate him,” Chaudhry added.

Local enquiry revealed that Babloo was last seen with Naseem and Aman. During investigation, it was found that Naseem and Aman were also living in Harkesh Nagar in a rented room.

It was learned that Babloo’s elder brother Israel had eloped with Naseem’s sister in Hardoi and the two were untraceable. “Armed with this piece of crucial information, we started looking for Naseem and Aman,” Chaudhry said.

A team managed to apprehend Naseem and Aman while they were planning to flee to their native police.

When interrogated they said that Naseem lured Babloo with the hope that he would know where Israel and his sister where.

He along with his friend Aman had bought a kitchen knife to persuade Babloo. They consumed liquor together near the container depot. After getting tipsy, Naseem started interrogating Babloo. However, Babloo denied knowing anything about them. Then Naseem lost his temper and stabbed him repeatedly.
They later dumped the body inside the container.
