Sulking RJD MP Ramkirpal Yadav on Friday relented to the request of Misa Bharti, daughter of Lalu Prasad, to replace her as party candidate from Patliputra Lok Sabha seat but said this should be announced by the RJD chief.

Yadav, man Friday of Lalu Prasad, who is angry on denial of ticket from Patliputra, told PTI over phone that he has accepted Misa’s request to contest on RJD ticket, instead of her, from the constituency in Patna district.

“But, this would have to be announced by RJD chief Lalu Prasad himself,” he said.

Earlier in the Prasad sent his daughter Misa Bharti to calm down Ramkripal Yadav, who is reportedly trying to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after denial of party ticket to contest Lok Sabha polls from Pataliputra seat.

Yadav, a sitting RJD MP (Rajya Sabha) and party general secretary, on Thursday reportedly said he will quit the party.

To placate disgruntled Yadav who had been close to RJD chief for over two decades, Bharti reached here on Friday and tried to meet him at his residence. Yadav, however, left his residence in a hurry, without meeting her.

This, however, did not discouraged Bharti as she decided to wait on him.
