Woman lodges complaint against police constable

A woman has lodged a complaint with Superintendent of Police G Radhika alleging harassment, against a police constable, serving in Bengaluru.

The woman, resident of Nagamangala taluk, Mandya district, got settled in Bengaluru after her love marriage. When her husband did not return home, she had gone to Byadarahalli Police station in Bengaluru, to lodge a missing complaint. It was at this time, a police constable befriended her.

He had taken her mobile phone number assuring to keep her informed about the case. But he had allegedly started harassing by calling her frequently and passing lewd remarks.

The woman, out of fear had returned to her village, but the constable continued to harass her, she stated in the complaint.
