Total income of the company rose 39 per cent to Rs 1,454.18 crore against Rs 1,045.78 crore for the same period last year.

For year ended December 31, 2009, the company reported a 6.79 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 590.65 crore against Rs 633.90 crore in the year ago period. However, its total income for the same period increased 4.5 per cent to Rs 5,276 crore against Rs 5,048 crore in the year ago period.

Briefing reporters Managing Director V K Viswanathan said “strong performance in the fourth quarter has helped the yearly figures in an otherwise dull year for the company,” adding that the firm is aiming at a sustained double-digit growth in the coming years.
The company is gearing up for massive expansion in the next three years, he added.
Further, he said the decline in profit is just a reflection of the macro economic conditions across the globe while pointing out that Bosch Global’s profit for the year also dropped to €38 billion for the reporting year against €45.5 billion.
