Karbonn unveils new handsets

The company plans to launch 3-4 new handsets every quarter in various segments like multimedia, touch screens and dual SIMs, Jaina Group Managing Director Pradeep Jain told reporters.    

Karbonn has announced that it has already covered Bangladesh as the first country in its launch initiative for South Asia and will shortly cover Sri Lanka and Nepal as well. The company also intends to launch Karbonn Mobiles in Middle East and Africa in the first quarter of the financial year 2010.

The company is planning to invest Rs 100 crore in the current fiscal. We also aim to capture a market share of 7-10 per cent in India in the multimedia phone segment by expanding our portfolio of products, Jain said.
