Kingfisher Airlines posts Q3 net loss of Rs 638 crore

 Kingfisher’s income from operations was also 6.5 per cent lower at Rs 1352.45 crore. The company however lowered its expenses in the December 2009 quarter on all major counts like employee cost at Rs Rs 170 crore (last year Rs 218 crore), lease rental at Rs 263 crore (Rs 362 crore), fuel at Rs 444 crore (Rs 557 cr) and other expenses at Rs 571 crore (Rs 612 cr).

The company claimed it achieved its highest ever seat factor of 80.2 per cent in its domestic operations in December 2009. In the December quarter its earnings before interest, tax and depreciation was Rs 11crores as against a loss of Rs122 crs in the corresponding period last year – an improvement of Rs. 133 crs.
