Jet Airways may get an emergency funding from lenders which can help the airlines keep afloat albeit with a smaller fleet.

Lenders, including State Bank of India, have imposed tough conditions on the airlines for the current tranche of funding but the government is of the view that grounding the airways is not in the interest of the commuters, airline industry and the country.

Jet Airways, which is looking for an urgent fund infusion, may eventually get the same to run a skeletal service, sources told DH.
